One Step Closer to Rebuilding Mound Road
By Bryan Santo, director, Macomb County Department of Roads
Over the past year, the Macomb County Department of Roads has led the team responsible for preliminary plan development to reconstruct a portion of Mound Road. Through research, public input, assessment of business and community needs, and extensive planning, the design-build construction is close to its beginning phases. There are three parties involved in the construction process, including Macomb County and the cities of Warren and Sterling Heights.
We’ve determined key needs of the project and will soon issue a request for proposal to the short listed design-build teams to submit proposal and bid prices to complete the multi-year project. The selected Design-Builder will be responsible for final design and construction of the project beginning as early as this summer.
Our entire team appreciates the community’s participation in our public events and the feedback and collaboration from our local businesses. You can learn about construction updates on the Innovate Mound website and social media channels.
